  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 cup flour
  • Butter, for frying


  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix well.
  2. Add the flour to the mixture and continue to mix until well combined.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  4. When ready to cook, form the mixture into small meatballs.
  5. In a large frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  6. Add the meatballs to the pan and cook, turning occasionally, for 10-12 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
  7. Serve the frikadeller with boiled potatoes, lingonberry jam, and pickled red cabbage.
